NEW ANAHEIM CUSTOMER ADVISORY BOARD REVIEWS 2015 PLANS PRIOR TO MAJOR EXPANSION


WHAT: Members of Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB) and Anaheim Convention Center’s (ACC) Customer Advisory Board (CAB) met in Anaheim last week for the semi-annual CAB Board Meeting. The three-day meeting was an opportunity for board members – 20+ influential corporate, association, meeting and event planners - to hear details on the state of the Anaheim meeting industry, review travel/destination trends and brainstorm new ways how Anaheim can work closer with their organizations. 


 


WHY: As AOCVCB embarks on several major projects to remain a leading convention destination, including a $240 million expansion, campus renovation project and major green initiatives, the semi-annual CAB meeting provided a forum to present plans and solicit feedback on how to better service decision-makers in choosing Anaheim as their business and leisure destination. 


 


The semi-annual meeting also included a number of discussions on how AOCVCB can build an organization built to service the ever-changing travel and tourism industry, such as: improving on our sales/marketing strategy, implementing services beyond the traditional destination marketing services, implementation of green initiatives including the Anaheim Solar Energy Plant located on Anaheim Convention Center’s rooftop, among others.
