Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau and Orange County Visitors Association Form Strategic Partnership

ANAHEIM, Calif. (January 24, 2014) – Today, the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB) and Orange County Visitors Association (OCVA) announced a regional partnership of their organizations. The agreement is designed to create a unified direction for both groups and their respective partnership base. 


“The AOCVCB has more than 50 years of destination marketing experience and is a leader in the convention and meetings market,” stated Jay Burress, President and CEO, Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau. “OCVA brings a level of industry advocacy, expanded visitor industry education and brand stewardship that will enhance our efforts. By blending the strengths of our two organizations we will create a unified vision in the marketplace, allowing us to strategically play on each other’s areas of expertise and better serve our customers and visitors.” 


The specifics of the AOCVCB/OCVA partnership outline a number of joint programs that include: a shared tourism community partnership base, joint destination communications, public relations and marketing programs, expanded educational and training opportunities, current and future international representation in China, Mexico, Middle East, with additional markets on the horizon.


“We believe that combining our efforts will open up new marketing ventures that will elevate the destination brand as a leading visitor destination,” said Ed Fuller, Orange County Visitors Association CEO. “Orange County has a multitude of assets to showcase and we believe that blending the strengths of both organizations will create a higher return for all involved.” 


The two organizations collectively represent nearly 700 tourism-related businesses in the Orange County area. This partnership agreement will not change either organization’s partners’ status in the AOCVCB or OCVA, but rather the collaborative link will expand marketing opportunities and add further value to their membership.
